 Let's embark into the little intricate stories of his life : Mr Jarre study litteracy at first, working on Faust and comparison between different authors versions.

Innovative Instruments

It was time for bringing the keyboard player in front of the audience, so Thanks to Jm Jarre, with the concept of Guitar Keyboard : Without lead singer or guitar hero was ready to come a Keyboard Hero

The second instrument is the Laser Harp, wich has a big visual impact on stage, with playing with lasers, giving a cosmic dimension to the concert.

Innovative concerts

Jarre was the younger artist to play at the Opera (opening exhibition following the new Chagall paintings on the roof of Paris Opera), but he is also the first to make incredible concerts like this One : AERO. Where all the electricity used for the concert was made by the wind, a very Ecologic Concert !

I did the portrait of Leo Messi, the Argentinian soccer genius, but i didn't do the description of the 80's Messi, called Diego Maradona (portrait of diego maradona on etsy), so here it is !

Argentinian cebollitas

The cebollitas is the name of the little boys playing soccer in Argentina, he was one of them and was playing very well, once discovered he was recruited to play in the most prestigious club of Argentina.

dreams of World Cup

Maradona was famous at an early stage, and a showman playing with balls during half time. Journalist came down and start to ask this little genius about his ambitions.
Is dream was to play the national Argentinian team and win the World cup.

Party / Drugs and Soccer

Maradona joined the F C.Barca. Well this weren't glorious times as he started to party, drink and use drugs.
Barcelona supporters don't appreciate much his beheaviours.

Leg broken by Goikoetxea in 83

During the season with Barcelona, Maradonna was injured during a play with Bilbao in 1983. A severe Tackle of Goikoetxea broke maradona's leg nad forced him to stay away for a while.

Time for revenge.
Well eight months after, maradona came back for playing the Copa del Rey against Bilbao, and this time it was showtime including tackles fights and kicks in the heads.

The iconic italian soccer god of Napoli

 He didn't stay long in spain and quickly jump over the mediterranean sea to join the itain club of Napoli.
He became so famous, people of Napoli were lighting on candles in handmade Maradona shrines.
A true iconic player.

During the World Cup against england, Maradona did use his hand to put the ball in the goal, it's a famous fact known as the hand of God. Well, i did saw the pictures on archives but it wasn't that clear.
However, two minutes after, Maradona dribble 6 player and mark an incredible Goal wich is also part of soccer history

After his glorious days in European championship, he turns back to South america, and ended up with severe heart problems, due to eccess during his fast days.

He then decided to hang up the shoes and stop playing Soccer.

cigars, weight and doctor explanations

Years later, after working on T.V, beiing the trainer of the national soccer team in 2010, he still have doctors recomandations to not drink too much, not smoking and not eating that much.... crabs risks !

I started to copy his pictures when i started painting and it's only now that i make this portrait.

Let's start with the incredible life of the poet/painter who never sold a picture and became worldwide famous once dead...

Row with his father

Vincent  doesn't really knew what to do of his life. He tried different jobs but none of them give him satisfaction.

Aftger a row with his gather, he decided to go away and take his chance into the souh of France.

Selling his artwork

Vincent van gogh had difficulties with selling his artwork, like many painter, and among the 3 or 4 sold pictures, one was bought into fill a hole on the roof of a barn.

Heading for the south

Leaving his native belgium, cloudy skies and industrial landscapes. He was heading to the south, land of sunny countrysides, mediterranean trees and warm weather.

Inspired by the life in south of france, he started to paint typical scenery, like people taking a nap in the shades of haystacks.

This picture is based on the picture of Van Gogh "the blue room" , including the bed, the chait, the table and tea pot.

Van gogh is famous for his picture with his ear cut. It all happens following a row with Gauguin, using a saber.

Auvers sur oise

The church of auvers sur Oise is also famous for the picture he did, but the cemetery is also famous as it's where Van Gogh and his Brother are resting in Peace side by side.

Absynth

Van gogh had some strange behaviours and one of them could be explained with drinking too much Absinth, this vintage drink.
The shape of the glass is triangle shaped, e special shape for serving this precious and delicate liquid.

Another famous picture : "Terrasse de café la nuit".
It's  a picture i like much. I made a copy yearas ago that i still have in my bedroom in France.

Customised Artwork : a portrait on a Mug

The Meubliz Mug !

Last year, i've offered a present to my brother to celebrate his Website success : Meubliz.com (if you want to identify wich antique furniture you have at own and how much you can sell it for / guess who have done the illustrations of the website ?).
And  the present was a customised Mug, furnitures inspired with lot of details inside.

As he was very happy of his mug and did drink lot of tea and coffee inside, he ask me this year to make a customized portrait of a friend on a Mug !

The challenge was set, as it was never done before.

What size and what resolution

First thing i was thinking ofwas the resolution of the picture. Into make my portrait works, it need to be 15 cm high and 15cm wide to give a good rendering of the face i draw. It is directly connected to the sizo of my pen i'm working with.
I'm printing the mug through the web, using the panoramical picture on a mug service. I need to provide a picture of 4400px by 1950px, close to a double square format.

Into keep the original picture small, i've decided to go on a picture of 12 x 27cm hoping the final rendering will work. And it work but it was hard to draw the lines of the face.

Halo a game of Peace and Love

As usual, the pictures were accompanied with lot of fun details, with this one who was "we met every 3 months into play Halo on the Xbox as a saturday night party". So was my first representation of a peace and love game based on destruction, missile and machineguns.

King of Waffles

He is the KOW (King of Waffles), so i've pictured up a french chef with "the Toque", a waffle machine and a queue of waffle enthousiasts waiting for the magic result of Wafflemaking.

It's a shame i could'n be able to try theses waffles...i wanted one or more...

He is definitely one of the best soccer player, but it's all the magic about his life that make him unique : Soccer, Girls and Booze. Here is George Best portrait !

Youth in Belfast.

Belfast skyline

 He grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland, near the "George Best" Airport, well near the Docklands if the 70's Belfast.
As i've lived there once, i know that the belfast skyline is composed of the  H&W cranes and the roofs of the terraced houses.

The gifted Ulsterman

The youg georgie boy was gifted, he receive the capacity of touching ball qnd make it go directly into the net.
He was a bold player, thinking fast with great inspiration and feeling.

 He was fast and the ball was stick to his leg so he could dribble easily. Two right feets !

The Best player for the Best team

 Well, it was the good choice for the Manchester staff to hire Georgie Boy, as the result was the UEFA cup and winning championshipd. Best was celebrated bu the entire M.U supporters.

Tons of Mails for Breakfast.

Today when you like someone, you write it somewhere on the internet, but earlier in the 70's it was more romantic and a letter was sent directly to your fan.
Georgie boy was receiving tons of mail for breakfast ! A good way to get over the hangover

George best hair : The best collectible item

Georgie boy became an Idol for many of the fans and they start to go mad about that, especially when a supporter start to enter the field, running after his idol with scissors (or knife ?) trying to get a bunch of hair of george Best.

No need to say, the police was chasing him on the grass....

the fifth Beatles

 He was famous, so famous he get this surname of "the fifth Beatles ".

He was famous, he got the money, he was a huge Gambler as well, as sort of Best 007.
He also had a big crush on the prettiest girl on Earth and the fastest cars on road. Just like James Bond but in Real.

I didn't mention the Jaguar E-type, neither the Lotus Europa (both included in the picture, at yours to find), so i had to mention his mansion, a modern villa with the 70's design, made of pounds and huge windows to satisfied all his conquests.

The decadence

He wasn't really aware that he was drinking too much. Everyone saw it but he didn't realise it.
Death was pooring his glass and drinking along to celebrate his joy of life.

sick on the field

It happens sometimes, in the middle of the game where he put the ball aside,  throw away all the gin tonic breakfast he had earlier, get the ball again and continue his dribble.
One of the few player who could play completely drunk.

the best Angel on Earth

He died in the 2000's and the belfast city dedicated his airport to his memory. He was a typical Ulsterman, living, enjoying life with excess without counting.
